From seed to distribution

Kimco N.V. follows the entire production process of the onions very carefully: from the choice of the field and seeds, storage depots, packing, distribution and sales. We would like to give you a brief overview of the production process.

Op 2 verpakkingslijnen worden de uien afgevuld in verschillende kalibers en verpakkingen, volgens de wensen van de klant5/8
The onions are packed per size and packing type on 2 different production lines to fulfil specific orders from our customers.

Mechanical harvesting of the onions.
Dagelijks worden er controles uitgevoerd (om o.a. de kwaliteit en het afvulgewicht te checken)6/8
Checks are performed daily on quality and the weight of the bags.
   

Opslag in droogloodsen om het hele jaar rond levering te garanderen3/8
Storage in warehouses to enable deliveries all year round.

De uien staan per order zorgvuldig en hygiënisch verpakt op pallets, klaar voor verdere distributie7/8
The onions, packed hygienically and with care on pallets, are picked per customers orders ready for distribution.
   

Uien worden visueel gesorteerd en ontdaan van productvreemde voorwerpen en losse pellen, daarna volautomatisch gesorteerd op kaliber en opgeslagen in aparte bunkers4/8
Onions are sorted visually and foreign bodies and loose skins are removed. Afterwards they are sorted automatically by size and stored in different bunkers.
